Essentially, your coronary arteries are fed during the diastolic phase. If you have a low diastolic pressure, it means you have a low coronary artery pressure, and that means your heart is going to lack blood and oxygen.

Most doctors consider blood pressure too low only if it causes symptoms (light-headedness, fatigue, paleness, nausea, etc,). What is low for one person might be normal for another. Some experts define low blood pressure as readings lower than 90 mm Hg systolic or 60 mm Hg diastolic. If either number is below that, your pressure is lower than normal.
