For the benefit of our readers, lichen sclerosus is a chronic condition that causes thin, white patches of skin, usually in the genital area. It usually affects the genital and anal areas.

Folliculitis appears as small, red, and sometimes painful bumps caused by bacteria that infect a hair follicle. It can occur on the labia majora. Shaving, waxing or friction is generally the cause.
