Most medications have side effects. Stimulant (and even some non-stimulant) medications for anxiety and ADHD all have health risks.
Stimulant medication have side effects. They vary from dry mouth, depression, insomnia and lack of appetite, to heart problems, skin rashes and even psychosis. This does not mean a person will experience any or all of these, but there is a risk. There is also a risk of dependency or even abuse of these medications.
No responsible doctor will tell you that there are no side effects to a stimulant. You and he/she will need to weigh the pros and cons for you, as well as when (or if) to start and what the dosage will be.
