Hi! Thanks so much for your question! I think we could all agree that your medical doctor ideally would ask more about your family history, medical history and treat you as a "whole" person and not just the symptoms you presented.

You mentioned that you were prescribed progesterone cream, and from my understanding, there are many reasons that you may have been given this, which include symptoms and/or diagnosis of PCOS (poly cystic ovarian syndrome), PMS, PPD (post partum depression), menopause or other reasons.

You also mentioned that you were prescribed some medication for depression; is this the progesterone cream? Is your depression related to pregnancy or birth of a child?

I hope we hear back from you soon! It sounds like you are very frustrated with the care you received. There are physicians who spend more time with their patients, and get to know the patient as a person, and are interested (and capable) of talking about the emotional, mental, social, relational and spiritual aspects of your life---not just the physical!

Have you asked other women in your area if they have a doctor they would recommend? Please know that you are your own best advocate, and we are here to support you! Write us back soon and tell us more, so we can help find out information and/or help you find a doctor who is more responsive to your needs.
