Doctors and parents in India get around this law in many creative ways.... some doctors have been known to leave candy wrapped in either blue or pink by the door so the couple leaving from their sonogram will know what they're having. Or, the doctor will make a comment during the sonogram, like "this one will be a fighter."
So the law isn't making much of an impact....
