Acupuncture is the use of needles while Cupping is an ancient technique that involves attaching a jar on to the skin by way of a vacuum. The underlying tissue is raised, or sucked, partway into the cup. Its purpose is to restore circulation, help relieve pain and pull toxins from the body tissue.
More often than not Cupping is used in conjunction with Acupuncture treatments. I will generally include cupping in a treatment
if a patient has stagnation going on. I also use it quite commonly for back pain as well as fevers,Colds and Allergies.
