What great information. With regard to living with diabetes, I have a close friend who often gives himself 'a poke' (shot) under the table at restaurants. After about five years, this is commonplace for him and us and life goes on. While his diabetes is something he takes very seriously, it hasn't become a focus of life or conversation. He hasn't been shy about it, but does handle most of it with discretion.
