I ask the same question ... I can't stand the thought of a loved one in pain and if their case is indeed terminal, I think at that point, they should have choices as unsettling as it would be for me on an emotional level.
I know this flies in the face of our fierce survival instincts and a lot of accepted cultural norms when it comes to life, but I think we need to be more humane in our approach to death. Great point. Thanks for bringing it up.
