I posted earlier about getting an eye exam and getting new glasses. Well I still have 20 15 like I did as a child and I got a pair of Oakley sunglasses thanks to my insurance. They didn't help very much, but my boyfriend has wanted a pair for a long time so I gave them to him. He loves them and says they work great for blocking the sun, but he doesn't get sun headaches like all of us do. But while I was out with one of my girlfriends, we stopped by her new apartment and they freebies on a table. One of the the trinkets was a pair of plastic sun glasses, so I got them just for the heck of it. They seemed to help more than the oakleys. My guess is that the plastic is too think for the sun to go though like normal glass is. So that seems to back up the theory that my eyes are just too sensitive to handle the light. It seems to have gotten better since my boyfriend and I go almost everywhere together, so when the sun is to bright, I latch onto him and close my eyes so he can guide me to a building or my truck.
The person from the last 2 posts mentioned that he/she has excellent vision. This may be an explanation to the headaches that are eye/light related. As I mentioned earlier, My vision is 20 15 which is better than most, so if it only seems to happen to people with above average vision, it stands to reason that maybe because our eyes are more in-focus that they can't filter out the light. Or maybe it has something to do with the (Correct me if I mess this up) warped shape of the eyes which causes them to be out of focus in the first place. Maybe the odd shape makes it to where the light doesn't hit the back of the eye as directly as a pair of eyes that are the original shape. I hope that made some kind of sense. Anyway, if anyone could give me some feedback, positive or negative to help back up or dismiss this theory, it would be greatly appreciated.
