As with any new medical advancement, comes disbelief, questioning and skepticism, which is beneficial for continual improvement in the medical field.
However...I have been surprised at the LACK of discussion in the media about one of the greatest medical advancements of our time (in my opinion)! For the first time, we have a CURE for CANCER! More specifically, we have a VACCINE to help PREVENT about 80% of CERVICAL CANCERs in women, caused by Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), a sexually transmitted infection. (Please note: when I say "cure for cancer", this vaccine can not cure pre-existing cervical cancer, but can help eliminate cervical cancer prevalence in our society. No other vaccine has been able to prevent cancer!!)
The recommended ages for women to receive the vaccine is 9 to 26, approved by the FDA. Have any of your daughters received this vaccination? What are your thoughts about it?
