Can u catch trich after taking flagyl 5 days before?

i got trich from a fling during a "break" from my fiance. i had sex with my fiance just once before knowing it was trich thinking it was the begginning of a yeast infection i didnt tell my fiance i had gotten trich and tonight we had sex only 5 days after takin flagyl we used a condom but is it possible i gave it to him and if so could he have given it back to me i have no symptoms yet

Oh i had protected sex 4 days after taking metronidazole will trich come back??? Please help

I also was treated for trich my doctor gave me a single dose of 8 pills to take in 1 day i had protected sex with a new partner should i be ok or will trich come back??

Thanks for your question and welcome!

If you were given Flagyl for Trichomoiasis, it is either given in one day or 7 day dosage. In your case, it was most likely the seven day dosage. If you were already on day 5, chances are that the medication had already done its job-- a follow up is necessary to confirm, though. Since you also used a condom, this also reduces the chances of you passing on any STD to your fiance.

There's a small chance that you may have passed it on, since we don't know if you were still infected-- but it's very small and you did the right thing by using a condom.
