I'm on day 41 of my cycle and no sign of my period? I took a home test on day 38 and it came out neg. I usually have a 32-34 day cycle so this is not normal for me to be late. When I was due for my period I had all the signs I usually get, cramps, moody and sore breast but now I just have a few mild cramps? I have a white discharge but very light. My partner and I have had regular sex throughout the month but we always use a condom. I'm not under any stress as far as I can see. The only change would be I feel very moody and very up and down. Please could I have some advise!! That would be great, anybody!!!

Thank you!! I will call my doctor and make an appointment. The only thing I was worried about was That I'm living on an island an hour away from Hong Kong and the HPT I bought was not a brand I know. Is it best to get a well known brand?
One other thing is that about two weeks ago after making love with my partner I had very bad pain in my bladder area. It was about 5 mins after wards and the pain was very intense something I had not experienced before. The pain lasted about 30 mins intensive then it was just in the background for the next day.

Twiglet,
Since your cycles are usually longer than average, I can understand your worry about being this late. Home pregnancy tests are very accurate at detecting the pregnancy hormones once you have missed your period, so the most likely answer is that something else may be going on with your cycle this month. It could be "nothing", just a strange cycle...it really does happen!

We would advise you to call your doctor, since your cycle is now 41 days with a negative pregnancy test (and you practice safer sex..good for you!). No birth control method is 100% effective, but again, the home pregnancy tests are 99% effective at detecting "pregnancy hormones" when you are late. Women's cycles really can be late for no apparent reason, but it is best to rule out any medical reason with a visit to your doctor's office.
