I had sex on the 19th. On the 20th i had a big discharge that looked like egg whites, which lasted that whole day is kept on feeling wet. For a few days after i got extremely dry! Then since like 4
Days after i and still til today i have been having yellow discharge, no smell pain or itch to it. Also on the 25th i felt in the evening 4 sharp pain in the uterus área that lasted about 2 seconds each. Could that have been implantation even though is had no spotting? When should i test? I had two periods in sept. One on aug 27 til 3 rd of sept. And one on sept 7 til the 14th. I did not get a period today the 27th should i wait til the 7th to test. I am 27, took birthcontrol since april 2008 and just stoped in end of july 09

Waiting anxusly for a reply

Thanks wish me "baby dust"

Hi Dada,

Thanks for the information, let me see if I can help. I do have a few more questions for you.

1. Are you trying to conceive?
2. Sex on the 19th...I assume this was unprotected (without condoms or other birth control?)
3. Are you keeping track of your menstrual periods on a regular basis? You had two periods that were only 4 days apart, but both lasted about a week each. Is this usual for you, or were your periods always regular while you were taking birth control?
4. Why did you suddenly stop taking birth control in July? Were you having symptoms, trying to conceive, or other reason?

To answer some of your questions:
- Assuming that the sexual intercourse you had on Sept 19th was without condoms, then the heavy "egg white" discharge you experienced on September 20th was most likely semen.
- You can have irregular periods at the end of August/beginning of September, as I assume those were your first period(s) after being off of birth control that you took for more than one year? If you continue having irregular periods, you may want to call your GYN, but you may experience irregular periods for a few months.
- The pain you felt on September 25th could have been many things: you could have ovulated (some women feel a sharp pain in that area) or you could have twisted a ligament suddenly, or it could be a cramp. It is not likely to be implantation of a fertilized egg, as most women are not able to feel this, but there are always exceptions.

I honestly do not know when you would test, but I can guess. Since your periods are irregular at this time, the only guess we can make is that most women will test positive on a home pregnancy test (if they are pregnant, of course) 2-3 weeks after unprotected intercourse. This is assuming that you were ovulating around the time of Sept 19th, but again, this is difficult to say with irregular cycle and recently stopping the use of hormonal contraception...it takes your body a few months to get back into a regular cycle of producing its own hormones.

I hope this information helps somewhat!
