I'm 23 and my periods are regular.I'm sexually active and I don't exercise at all.I work two jobs.On October 16 I started my period.During my period I have a lot of cramps and its very heavy.I use at least 8 pads a day.It lasted til 20.On October 23rd me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex. Then on October 29th we had unprotected sex again.I'm sure round October 29th I was ovulating. On November the 11th I got this heavy bleeding.I dont know if it was my period or breakthrough bleeding. This time I didn't have any cramps and the bleeding was light to where I only had to use about 3 pads a day. That lasted til November 14th.By the morning of November 14th it had completely stopped. So I went on with my day.November 16th came along and I notice that when I wipe after using the restroom I have dark blood on the tissue. So I put on a pantyliner thinking I was bout to start bleeding again but there was nothing else that whole day.Til today there is still no more blood and I don't know what to think.I just now started back taking my vitamins.I'm experiencing cramps in my pelvic region, headaches,I'm always hungry,I always feel like I have to throw up,I feel dizzy sometimes, and I'm always hot.It feels like I'm having hot flashes which can't be right. What do you think it could be?Please write your query here

I would take it as soon as possible if I were you, lol (curiosity! :D), but hopefully this advice from an expert obstetrician and gynecologist will help: http://www.babycenter.com.au/pregnancy-test

Hi Anon,
I completely agree with DaisyN. I suggest that you take the pregnancy test and make an appointment with your gynecologist. I also had a period (well, I thought that it was a period), but the next month I found out that I was pregnant and my gynecologist explained that sometimes women can have bleeding even though they're pregnant. Hopefully this helps.
Wish you all the best,
Maya

Hi Anon,
Welcome to EmpowHER and thanks of your question. If you had unprotected sex, during your fertile days. It's very possible you might be pregnant. Any heavy bleeding that is not your period, is not normal. Have you taken a pregnancy test?
Best,
Daisy
