I had my procedure done on the 29th of Sept 2008. The first week i just had a light yellow watery discharge.. then on Tues Oct 7th, I had really heavy bleeding for 3 hours soaking pants, pads the works. Then it stopped as quick as it came. then next day no bleeding at all. then on the 9th heavy bleeding again for about 2 hours. Then it went away as quick as it came.. MY doctor tells me this is normal.. Today Iwent out to a football game with the kids and as soon as I got home and stepped out of the car.l Blood saturated my pants and socks. What is going on.. Then i took a shower and it seems to be stopping again. Is the lining shedding from my uterus or is this something i need to worry about?

i had Her Option procedure done on Friday May 1st and then had post bleeding and cramping for a day. After that I just had watery discharge. I have been unusually exhausted. Today is May 6th and I am bleeding a ton and have huge clots passing out of me. I assume this is normal, but I am going to call my doc and let him know to make sure nothing could have gone wrong.

Hi, Anon,

Thanks so much for letting us know how your procedure went and how your healing is going. We'll look forward to your update. This is a procedure that a lot of women undergo and there are a lot of questions floating around about the after-effects. Every time a woman tells her story, it helps many others know what to expect.

Here is another EmpowHer thread where women have written about this procedure:

On Sept 9th I saw my doctor and she examined me and checked my Hemoglobin it was 10. I have always been a amenic. she gave me some metherigine to stop the bleeding if it got excessive again. Today so far i have not had any bleeding. My cycle is scheduled to start next week or in the next few days.. I will keep you posted.

Dear Brownsuga,

You are the second woman to post about the "Her" procedure, today. I'm totally unfamiliar with this. I'm going to do some research on it right now.

If you're having that much bleeding.... to the point at which you're soaking through your pants and socks, you need to go to the emergency room and call your doctor immediately. I don't like the fact that you've soaked through anything.

Did they give you a post procedure hand out that outlines what to expect the first, second....weeks and months after this procedure?

Let's see if one of our moderators can do some research on this to see what we can learn.

I really want you to call your doctor and demand to see him/her or head to the ER.

Are you feeling tired and light headed?

I will always lean on the side of caution...Can't take too many precautionary measures when it comes to your health.

Please let me know how you're doing. Maybe you'll continue to post about what you're going through with your HER procedure so other women can learn from your experience and not be afraid if some of these things turn out to be what the doctor thinks is normal. Not that I would tell any other women who was having your same symptoms, not to go see a doctor pronto.

Take care of yourself and thank you for coming and posting your question/story on EmpowHer. I know you must be worried and you need to ease your fears by going to their doctor asap.

Warmest regards,

Michelle
