Q:

I'm 42 and have had a brown peroid for 2 weeks but at times it's normal period color and very slight heavier. I had my tubes tied so pretty sure I'm not pregnant. Help please

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

At 42, you may be entering peri-menopause. Many women are in this stage in their 40s - some even in their late 30s.

Periods being irregular and stopping/restarting is one of the first signs. Menopause is a normal part of a woman's life cycle.

Talk to your gynecologist about your concerns.

Best,
Susan
