Q:

I'm a 46 yr. old female. I have had heart problems since my late 20s; they just found it's caused hypersensitive heart -- everything triggers it sex, exercise and stress. They put in a pace maker to help. It helps but not enough. Please help me.

Hi fayebalene,

A pacemaker is a small device, about the size of a pocket watch, that's placed under the skin near your heart to help control your heartbeat. It is meant to control your heart beat when your heart fails to do so on its own.

How long have you had your pacemaker in for? Have you had your follow up visit to ensure that settings on the pacemaker are correct?

If you feel like your settings may need to be adjusted, please give your doctor a call.

Best Wishes,

Rosa
