Hi I didn't like the side effects I was having with loloestrin fe the lowest low dose possible so the nurse practitioner at my school switched me to ortho tri cyclen lo she said that I don't need to finish the current pack and I am just worried if maybe I should stop the pill and wait for my normal period and then go back on them?
Thank you

Hi Rosa!
Thanks for answering so fast, I just also wanted to know how bad would it be if I stopped the pill and then went back on it when i get my normal period, because I am just worried about not having my period this month then, because I feel like I would be off the whole duration I would be on the pill.
Thank you,
Kim

Kim,
You could stop the pills just to get your period-- but it really isn't necessary, then you would have another period at the end of your pill pack. You are better off by just taking all of your new pill pack until you reach your placebo week and then you will get your period. There is no harm or risk to your health if you don't have your period this month until the end of your new pill pack.

Hi livelife,
While you may not get your next period until you have reached the last week in your new pack of Ortho Tricyclen Lo, there is no harm in starting your new pack before finishing your last. Just take them as directed and hope these don't give you any bad side effects.
Best Wishes,
Rosa
