My period in October started on 10/8 which put me ovulating and fertile on the day I had sex. I started my next period on Nov 4. First day was extremely weird with light brownish not like old blood . This only happen on the day I started then it stopped and I started to bleed a two days latter which was very light .. Don't remember any clots or heavy bleeding..I am now 13 days late for this months period .. Mild cramping , bloated, tired and breast feel heavier but don't hurt , headaches today as well as stuffy nose ... 5 negatives of test so I don't know what's wrong ,, just feel like crying ..because I don't know what's going on with my body .. Please any help is appreciated

Hi, I had sex with my boyfriend he wasn't wearing condom or anything, I was wearing only a cotton underwear but his dick didn't touch me this time, the second time I was wearing a cotton underwear and pants, we fucked , there was a spot on my pants, I'm young , I'm from a culture where reputation is highly valued, so I'm still virgin, I didn't lose my virginity , my last period was on 18th of February and ended on 24th Feb , I usually get pimples when I'm about to get my monthly period, but this time I didn't get anything, I'm so worried, am I pregnant? ( I'm 16 )

Hi Anon,

Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community! I’m sorry to hear you are dealing with so many complications; I know that must be difficult to deal with.

After having a tubal ligation, it is very unlikely to be pregnant. Typically the risk is closer to about 1 in 100 over a 10-year period, according to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

However, since your period is usually regular and it is about 2 weeks late now, I can see how that is concerning and puzzling.

When you have a tubal ligation, you are at a higher risk for an ectopic pregnancy. Sometimes home pregnancy test may or may not be able to detect an ectopic pregnancy because there may not be enough hCG/pregnancy hormone to pick up on. The hormone hCG is created with an ectopic pregnancy, but in lower amounts.

Some common symptoms of ectopic pregnancies include:

- upset stomach and tender breasts

- abnormal vaginal bleeding that is light or heavy

- abdominal or pelvic pain. Sometimes this may occur on just one side, and it can sometimes be sudden and sharp.

I would highly suggest setting up an appointment with your doctor. They will help determine why your period is so late and what exactly may be going on.

Please keep me updated on everything and I hope this has helped!

Best,
Erin
