I started the pills on March 21st my period started that same day. I had unprotected sex March 24th (which was the day my period ended) and 25th. I missed the 25th pill. When I go to the bathroom there is a small amount of blood. Should I not take the 26th pill?

Hello and thank you for choosing EmpowHer,
March 26, 2016 - 11:35amI understand you want to get pregnancy, correct?
If so, what kind of pills are you taking?
If you are taking birth control pills, I suggest you stop taking them.
Breakthrough bleeding can occur when you miss pills. This happens because a halt in hormonal intake signals your body to have a period. This does not necessarily signify pregnancy.
However, birth control pills do not become effective until the 8th pill. Since you took the pills for less than a week before having intercourse then pregnancy is possible.
Also consider however that you can only become pregnant when ovulating which occurs about a week after your period. If you were not ovulating then that also lowers your chances of pregnancy.
In any case, you will need to wait until after a missed period to take a pregnancy test. The test results will be accurate at that time.

Correct, I want a baby. The pills are called Tri estarylla. I started taking them in Feb to regulate my period. After I took all the active pills last month I missed last row (placebo or sugar pills) of pills then started a new pack when my period started on Monday 21st. If I discontinue taking the pills will I have another period? Just curious as to my chances or should I just keep trying throughout the month?
