I started taking birth control last month.September 2010. I started it the first day of my period. I had unprotected sex the whole month. Missed pills through out the month and didnt take them when I noticed. Just threw them away. Then this month I started a different brand that was given to me. last month I missed the last couple days b4 the sugar pills, also skipping the sugar ones as well. Im on the 9th day pill of this pack and already missed a couple here and a couple there. I decided im not going to take them anymore because I really want a baby but I havent started any type of bleeding yet.My breasts are super sore and I get lower stomach pain. I know this could also be from the birth control. But since I didnt take it the same time everyday, and missed a lot, how likely am I to become pregnant? I took a test but I think if I am by chance it'd be too soon to tell. Any advice would be great...

I am so sorry and I know your probably tired of hearing from me by now lol. Its been over ten days since Ive taken a pill and still havent had withdrawal bleeding or a period. I've been experiencing lower abdominal pain/discomfort. It mostly is in the right side. Im a bit of a hypercondract lol so in my head I have ovarian cancer, or a tubal pregnancy. Is there any way I can induce my period?

Hi,
There is no timeline as to when you will get your period; it could be next cycle by the time your menstrual cycle is back-on-track.
If you know that you have hypochondriac "tendencies", what can you do to help you get through the next 2-3 weeks without thinking in your head that you have every medical condition known to man (or woman)? :-)
The most likely symptoms that you are experiencing are due to an upcoming period. Pregnancy is actually difficult to achieve, especially when not actively trying (meaning: being off of birth control and having unprotected sex consistently). Even with the best of intentions, women only have a 20% chance of conception each cycle.

Hi Anonymous
You may be having pre-menstrual symptoms. Because of taking the pill so on and off, your hormones are going to be a little goofed up.
We cannot give odds on pregnancy. I suggest you wait until a week after what should have been your period if you don't get one, and then take a pregnancy test.
Good luck.

Hi Babyblues
It sounds like you are premenstrual so I would guess you'll have a period any day now.
