Yes its true..Finally I Got - Successful and Healthy Weight Loss
I lost 13 kgs ...
Let me tell you , I think this post will make me put another posts on "Stress"... It is linked to women weight loss...
It was when I got married the weighty issue started...Though I tried to keep my food in control ...
But the scale was not budging instead reaching new high everytime I checked. I was starting to have an aversion to the scale... But I knew internally this cannot solve my problem...
Then came pregnancy.....Zoom....went the scale up..... Delivery ... Not much weight loss...oops....
All baby chores , office work , day night meetings, Inlaws stress , office stress-[infact..a quote said : "Because I am a woman, I must make unusual efforts to succeed. If I fail, no one will say, “She doesn’t have what it takes”; They will say, “Women don’t have what it takes”;”] , home work, maid , traditions , love marriage , breast feeding thru-out night, etc etc etc etc.. I think I have to put numerable "etc"s.... .... This all piled on more weight...........
Worst part, my diet was never over the board ,I walked 30 minutes daily , still I gained...
Broken from all stress ... I decided to take a break for myself...I quit my job to bring together my emotional and physical self . I am telling the truth .I have served to all thru out my life , Should I not have a chance for myself ??
Okay ... I initially calmed my stress , read books on weight loss , some research thru net..
Then after all the initial rest i started .....OK , Now I had to loose weight with a terrible heel pain in both my heels.....
The journey.... 8 months - 13 kgs lost and with around 20 times I ate lavish dinners outside and mindful oil snacking ..(oxymoron isn't it)
Stage 1 : The initial overcoming of laziness
Diet : I am a lacto-ovo-vegetarian , I already had controlled diet , but now I consicously deleted rice almost entirely, reduced oil to 4-5 tsp in one day
Workout : 20 mins walk at 6km per hour speed , 30-40 mins lazy swimming , 20 mins weights, and Meditation, It was stress that kicked in weight gain hormones...So meditation..It helped me in focus and also found a good friend in that process.
Lost 4 kgs in 3-4 months - yes slow , but this is how initial weight loss works ...
Stage 2 : the more enthu-phase.
Diet : ate one roti in lunch dinner breakfast , in between meals had fruits and snacks at 1.5 hrs interval.Added whey protein to my diet only once after workout
Workout : Stopped swimming , brought variety in weights training and less cardio And started giving 30 mins walks in evening.
Lost 6-7 kgs - 3-4 months
Stage 3 : it was tough , very tough.. as my body got more efficient and didnt burn calories like before...
Diet : ate one roti in lunch dinner breakfast , in between meals had fruits and snacks at 1.5 hrs interval.Added whey protein to my diet only once after workout
Workout : Stopped swimming , brought variety in weight and interval training in cardio and weights, more heavier weights And started giving 30 mins walks in evening.
Lost 2-3 kgs - 2 months
Ok this was brief description , But I went thru many plateaus, i worked hard very hard to break them every time.
I ate in parties regularly , but once a week , but with caution , but I gave in many times
Now after 15 months I have gained back 3.5 kgs , but still I am winner...this was all without a proper gym or trainer, just some basic stuff here and there.Actually I had to gain , as my son needed alot of attention , he got a lot sick during winters , couldnt follow up much....ate merrily and attended marriages and it is tough to maintain a low weight , it is common to gain 2-3 kgs back..that was my set expectation...
Can u imagine the joy of fitting into old clothes ... as a child I never thought that way....
Now I am trying to loose that 3.5 kg back... But I am somewhat busy ....
Just waiting for myself to push myself again ... That's it....
