You know good, important things happen when you have incredible sex; it's far from being a secret. You feel lighter, stronger, more in touch with yourself; you feel fulfilled, happier and full of life.

Similar things happen during great exercise which is probably why on such a primitive level we human beings link fitness with sexuality. The endorphins are rushing to our brains, making us feel invincible and our stamina is long lasting, our endurance almost superhuman. We are beyond our emotions, experiencing a sort of inner strength that makes us feel almost "high."

Another quality that is invaluable to both experiences is the sense of agelessness that occurs. Once you hit that zone, you are not twenty, fifty or sixty-three. You are simply YOU, the ageless you, the one that's been in there all along; the one that jumped on the skateboard at fourteen and drove for the first time at sixteen. You are still in there and great exercise, great sex, great experiences of every kind but particularly physically involved experiences can be a wonderful path toward rediscovering this.

Not only are great sex and great exercise terrific ways of promoting longevity and health, they are also fantastic stress busters. Since we know that stress is the leading cause of so many other difficulties with our health, using stress reduction techniques that also make us feel great are key.

Sometimes when I'm at the gym and the music in my earphones is just right, I can actually remember who I am; not the woman with all the responsibilities, but the real me, the ageless me, the one who has never let me down. And finding her again keeps me going even harder, for I want to keep her around for as long as possible.
