What are you doing to be an Ecomom?

By HERWriter Guide July 21, 2011 - 6:58pm

Thanks to Kimberly for starting this Group!

As a vegetarian family- our support of the environment is a great start right there!

We are also huge recyclers: if it comes in a paper bag, bottle, can, package or plastic container - we recycle. We also use cloth bags but recycle our plastic bags if not (our stores offer the service). We also buy local.

I'm sure there are other things we can do! Your suggestions are welcomed and if you have any tips - or questions - please let us know!

What does being an ecomom mean to you? For me being an ecomom is about making healthy choices for my family, knowing that one step at a time, we can all live in ways that are more rewarding and in greater balance with this world we all share. But I want to know what it means to y'all ((as they say in Alabama, where my fiance is from)!

Hey Susan,
Thanks for joining us! It sounds like you're making some very healthy and low impact choices. How did you get interested in being a vegetarian and what's your favorite recipe site?
Cheers,
Kimberly
