Hey, I'm Shelli. I'm a mom of two girls. One of my girls has several sleeping disorders. Confusional arousals, sleepwalking, night terrors, teeth grinding, and RLS. She's a very tired kid, who is also hyperactive and hyper-intelligent. It's been a long few years, and I suspect it will be a long many more :D

Hello I am new to this group thingie. I found you easily by your condition/concerns I also have sleep disorders, some of the same as your little girl; Night terrors, sleepwalking, even sleep paralysis (old hag syndrome) and a lot of no rest for the weary . So how are ya doin? Funny but growing up I had none of these issues as a child, my youngest brother had them, as well as being quite a hyper-active kid but I would never consider him hyper-intelligent, well? No way. I will say he was busy, yep busy in the head. I was the "Brains," the only girl, and middle child of the family I probably got too much sleep.
Well if it helps any he's fine now just turn 40, all grown up he has 2 sons and a daughter of his own now. He still snores but his sons sleep threw it, he doesn't grind his teeth, sleepwalk (sleeprun often up/down stairs) or run around confused/screaming anymore. It was pretty creepy when he was younger. And he would be so tired he would just fall out anywhere/anytime a kind of pseudo-narcoleptic aka "The Paper Weight". My issues didn't start until I was in the Army 19yrs old, I seem to keep acquiring new "oddities" and loss more and more sleep. I probably get 4hrs total a day with no more than11/2 hour consecutively, then I hope for the really good restful slumber.
Well I remember my Mom patiently and calmly leading my brother back to bed trying to imprint good thoughts in her every word, glaring to disperse the ugly mob (Us) the ones losing sleep, "nothing to see back to bed" then she'd come from his room sigh, "thank God he hasn't run out into the street" she was truly worried for him, you could see it in her face, it must be tough. Well I wish you the best luck with your daughter, hang in there. Sorry for rambling, It's a bright sunny day :)
