My response to intro post/thread regarding Obama Motorcade Blocks Pregnant Woman From Hospital

By July 25, 2014 - 4:13pm

Hmm interesting because I'm waybeyondfedup with all of and this is no way to treat her. Thats why I find homebirth, freestanding birth center with a midwifery run care a whole lot safer. Then, hospital one with a doctor (ob/gyn) run care. Where its treat as condition/disease. Instead of what it really is, but have no what clue what its called. Especially, its been around a lot longer (beginning of time) as the hospital one. This also applies to conception, pregnancy, parenting, and beyond as well.

Back again because I forgot to put this in my 1st response to here, today.

Where's all of the evidence regarding your argument/s regarding all this. At the same time it has to be evidence/science based as opposed to pseudo based. I know mine are based on evidence/science based as opposed to pseudo. Well, at least as I know of.
These are documented medical studies conducted by medical organizations recognized around the world. There is nothing "pseudo" about them and the points have been proven otherwise. I'll just let you go then. Your last post basically said loud and clear that you don't care and you are not going to reconsider your opinion no matter what I present to you.
Oh please, Rebel. In which I still the opposite of you. Because I think they are flawed in some way or other and especially, how it works nowadays vs in the past. Unless otherwise proven.

Back with another couple more responses and this time they quoted as well. That I got the same poster. At the same time hes the founder/owner/admin/mod of the forums.
Home birth is an inherently dangerous practice with little to no sterility involved. I think the risk for infection is too high and only proper care in a hospital is warranted. In home birth...if something happens...you're screwed. You call 911 and we EMT's don't know how to deal with that...so you'll get put on the gurney and rushed to the hospital....which might be a delay you cannot afford to have. In a hospital based setting when a baby is born....a surgeon is always on standby, nurses are always present to aid a midwife, and the NICU and Pediatrics department is always very close at hand. Even us in the OR are put on call in case of an emergency C-Section. Home birth might have been around since the beginning of time...but that was a time when babies and mother's died often. Medicine has adapted, overcome, and advanced in this field since, and I think ignoring such advancements is foolish.
Here we go again with all this. Again, I'm waybeyondfedup. Especially, with Rebel/others like him is/are totally misinformed with his/theirs response/s to mine response. I for one understand were you are guys are coming from on all of this. Unless if its truly emergency thats requires going to the hospital. Still think that homebirth/freestanding birth center birth is/are far more safer then hospital one. I mean just look at other countries where homebirth/freestanding birth center whom still practice. Even through its becoming more illegal nowadays in those countries. In which again I do understand, but then I'm against.
Well no offense meant...but I think you are the one misinformed. I could ask you how many babies you have seen born but what's the point when I have seen over 200 now: births, c-sections, complications, and more. I don't think you or others promoting this will ever understand unless you are allowed to experience what your views actually mean and represent. The Hospital means a lot more than an emergency - it's a staffing center for trained personnel, a clean and sometime sterile environment, a place with resources and instrumentation that can aid when needed, and a place where if something does go wrong...you get care.

I would like to point out the following articles written by medical professionals...

Home Births Tied to Higher Infant Death Rates // Medical Study February 2014
Homebirth midwives reveal death rate 450% higher than hospital birth // Blog from OB/GYN Doctor January 2014
Planned Home Birth Risks // American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG)
Increasing trend in home birth neonatal mortality rates // Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine Feb 2014

I can provide many more on request and I hope you take the time to realize the implications of what you are saying. Trying to paint the hospital as a last moment, emergency only, and unnecessary medical precaution is a detriment to our general health as a society as it is damaging to women who do not know better and rely on others for hearsay advice. Home birth is a preference, and it may work, but it's not the safest or smartest route.
Oh please to, Rebel. I for one know for fact these are all pseudo ones then the real thing. Unless proven otherwise.
