32 with PCOS

By February 10, 2012 - 8:06pm

I'm 32 with PCOS. Sometimes I feel so depress, but I always tell myself is not my time yet to have a baby. I guess is just to make me feel better. That is rollercoaster that live has for me but I’m not going seat and not do anything about it. I have been to the two doctors the first one had me on two cycles of clomid and one of HCG injection, with the HCG injection I produced to many eggs so it was not healthy for me and no luck with the clomid. I also was not feeling that I was connecting with the doctor, so I started looking for someone else and finally found one he started me on clomid for two cycles but this time the dosage was increased and it was looking good, but I changed jobs and also insurance change there goes my plans as you know infertility treatments are very expensive now I have found I doctor but I have to wait until a whole month. While waiting I was doing same research and found that there are herbs that help with PCOS. vitex, primrose oil, saw palmetto are known to work. Let see what happens.

Hi yasmin1,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Sorry to hear this, having PCOS makes it harder to conceive.  According to research, one of the reasons why Vitex is so effective for women who are not ovulating due to PCOS, is because of its ability to balance hormones while not containing hormones itself. Vitex supports hormonal balance in the body by having an effect on the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis, correcting the problem at the source.

Evening Primrose Oil helps to increase cervical mucous and metabolic function.

Hope this link on PCOS helps
