Research in the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology shows women who breast feed for a year or more reduce their risk of heart disease by 10 percent!

“We have known for years that breastfeeding is important for babies’ health; we now know that it is important for mothers’ health as well. Breastfeeding is an important part of the way women’s bodies recover from pregnancy,” said Researcher Dr. Eleanor Bimla Schwarz. Breastfeeding helps reduce fat stores in the body and releases hormones researchers believe to be beneficial as well.
