Jesse James, the now estranged husband of Sandra Bullock is in sex rehab. Tiger did it and the ex husband of Halle Berry admitted a sex addiction after he was caught cheating (it should be noted that he later confessed he was asked to do this for PR for Halle Barry and it was part of their separation agreement. He was never a sex addict, although he admitted that he did have an affair.) David Duhcovny also attended sex rehab and a slew of so- called C and D- Listers willingly discuss their gory details on the 'reality' show Sex Rehab.
Of course, these numbers are likely very low compared with us ordinary folk who enter sex rehab year round.

There are many types of sex addicts, including so-called sexual anorexics who avoid physical intimacy with their partner and seek it out in fantasies or with others... Rob Weiss, founder and executive director of the Sexual Recovery Institute in Southern California, estimates that up to 5% of Americans deal with some form of sex addiction, though he says there is no real way to know. Rehab consists of many of the same steps as better known (and accepted) addictions like drugs and alcohol. Exploring denial, confronting addicts who insist that oral sex or sexual massages doesn't constitute cheating, holding addicts accountable, and providing compassion and support to ensure addicts remain sober in a healthy way are some of the tools used. Unlike alcohol or drug addicts, sex addicts are not expected to abstain from sex for life (much like food addicts.)
These addicts need to control a normal behavior, not eliminate it.
Sex rehab can last from weeks to months, to a lifetime. 90% of addicts are estimated to be men although reliable statistics are unavailable based on the newness of sex rehab and under reporting or false reporting.
There remain many people (lay people and medical professionals) who stand by their assertions that sex addiction does not exist.
