Late Period, Negative HPT... Is it still possible?

Hi Susan,
I have been on birth control pills since i was 14 yrs old, Im now 20. I have never been late as it as been controlled by the pill. This month I have not received my period. It's now almost a week late. Calculated back to the first day of my last period it is 34 days. I have done 2 HPT's and both were negative. Im very worried as I was not trying to conceive thats why I have been on contraceptives. I have been having some of the early symptoms like the nausea and sore breasts but nothing major. Could i still be pregnant or is this just all in my head?
