Cheri Amberen
I decided to become a nurse after losing my father to cancer. I knew then, after helping to care for him that it was something I had to do. I believe everyone has that "aha" moment. So I went back to school and earned my nursing license.
There are so many things about being a nurse that I love, but helping women through menopause is particularly close to my heart. We all require balance in our lives in order to function on a daily basis. However, for women in menopause this is especially true. This is a real, everyday struggle and often times, extremely debilitating. It gives me peace knowing that I may provide a little bit of comfort to women, just like the nurses did for my father.
