Darlene Jenkins
Dr. Jenkins is a science writer and a biological consultant for biotech, pharmaceutical and medical device companies to provide expertise in research and product development, experimental design and project management. Dr. Jenkins received her Ph.D. in microbiology and immunology from Stanford University and completed postdoctoral studies in pediatric infectious diseases at Stanford University Medical School. Dr. Jenkins instituted and directed the preclinical oncology research program at Xenogen Corporation (Alameda, CA) serving as Divisional Vice President, Oncology when the company was acquired by Caliper Life Sciences. Dr. Jenkins also has a California teaching credential in life sciences and a certificate in science writing. She has taught high school and university courses and continues to have an interest in science education. As a science content specialist, Dr. Jenkins researches and writes medical and educational materials for websites, private health companies and science museums.
