I had polio when I was a toddler however I was one of the lucky ones. My right arm and hand are just weak from muscle atrophy and the lack of muscle control to some extent.
I have had migrain headaches for about 15 years but in the last 6 years have finally got them under control with medication. It took experimenting with many combinations of drugs with my neurologist to find the right combination. At one point I had a migrain that lasted 3 weeks without relief. My neurologist sent me to the emergency room for an IV that consisted of some evil drug that caused the migrain to peak even further and then subside. I hope I never have to go through that again.
Currently I am suffering from piriformis symdrome and have great pain which keeps me from sleeping more than an hour and a half at a time.
I am 65 years old and was diagnosed with familial essential tremors about 4 months ago. My mother started having them at age 89. I am currently on the generic os Sinmet (not sure about spelling) ...
