Hello All,
I'm going a bit nutty lately. I am 33 years old. I have a child from a previous relationship and my husband loves her as his own.My husband (of 6 years) and I have been trying to get pregnant for 6 years, with no luck. I have tested myself with ovary kits to make sure I'm ovulating and everything seems to be going well..with me. My husband on the other hand we suspect has a low sperm count or motility issue. Everything was running like clockwork with my body until this month. My last period was Dec 17th, lasted for 7 days and I'm on a 26-35 day cycle. Needless to say as of today I'm 18days late (counting that I was on a 27 or 28 day cycle for this next period). Regardless I'm late and the last time I was this late I was pregnant with my daughter. Well I did a pregnancy test 2 weeks ago and it came out negative. I took another pregnancy test today and it came out negative. I have been nauseated, swollen breasts, mild back pain, and some whitish dishcharge from my vagina, as well as moodiness and tired. However, I researched pre-menopause and it shows most of the same symptoms except the discharge and for menopause it states lowered libido- in the last few weeks mine has spiked.
I don't want to make this a big deal and everytime I get the negative result I get a little depressed, but I don't know what's going on with my body. I have heard our cycles can be off because of stress, diet, weight, yada yada, but none of that has changed for me. I would like some feedback as to what you think and do I go to the doctor now or do I wait for another few months as I have read on some websites. I'm only concerned for waiting in case it may be something that needs to be taken care of soon. Also, I'm curious if doctors even do pregnancy tests via blood work anymore it seems that most just use the urine tests that we can all get a the local drugstore anyway? Does a blood test pick up lower levels of HCG?
Thanks for your input. I just don't know what to do.
