I know this isn't a very pleasant topic, but I am a little worried. I have been taking Sprintec oral contraceptive for over 4 months now and always take it around the same time each day. Since Sunday I have had diarrhea. It is happens over two hours after I take my pill, but I hear that it can compromise the effectiveness of the pill. I read the insert and it said that I should count it as a missed pill if I had diarrhea less than two hours after taking the pill, which isn't the case in my situation. I had sex with my boyfriend on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. My sister (an RN) said that I should still be protected but I can't help still being anxious. Today my boyfriend bought me spermicidal foam and ovulation predictor tests. Basically, I am wondering if I am still protected or if I should get emergency contraception? Thank you in advance
