I was multi orgasmic for many years and now at age 56, achieving plateau and climax (by clitoral stimulation) seems almost impossible. It appears to be tied to blood flow (similar to male ED) since the clitoris does not engorged. I've been I formed by my OB/ gynecology doctor that my testosterone level is negligible.

Hello Anonymous,
Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for reaching out to our community with your question.
Has your gynecologist suggested any treatment options to increase your testosterone levels?
Orgasmic dysfunction is a condition that occurs when someone has difficulty reaching orgasm, even when they’re sexually aroused and there’s sufficient sexual stimulation. When this condition occurs in women, it’s known as female orgasmic dysfunction.
In some cases, estrogen hormone therapy may be used. This can help increase sexual desire or the amount of blood flow to the genitals for heightened sensitivity. Estrogen hormone therapy may involve taking a pill, wearing a patch, or applying a gel to the genitals. Testosterone therapy is another an option.
