Kristina provides advice for women having a LAP-BAND® procedure and describes how she was treated at the Tri-City Regional Bariatric Program.
Kristina:
If they were afraid, I would first find a good surgeon and just, you know, it’s not that, you know, it’s not bad. It’s actually, to me, it saved my life, I feel, and it’s either being heavy and coming with all the health complications or, you know, starting to be healthy. Yeah, it’s a risk; everything is a risk, but being overweight is a really big risk.
They were so nice to me. I was really scared, like with anyone going under the knife. You know, everyone knows there’s always the risk of things that could happen, and they actually stayed by my bedside with me and, you know, talked me through my anxieties, and I felt confident when I went in the surgery room.
