Leana recalls how she felt before her gastric bypass surgery and describes the recovery process.
Leana:
When I went in there, it was, you know obviously kind of nerve-racking at first, but everything was at ease, and the minute I woke up, I was like “Really? It’s over?” I was kind of groggy afterwards, and then I went back to my room, and you know, you have what you normally have. You are kind of like out of it for a little while, but after that I felt, I mean, I felt fine.
My parents were in there, and they said I was just, you know, talking and rambling on like I normally do. So it was really quite easy, and it was easier than I expected it would ever have been.
They had initially told me that it was going to take, I should take like a number of, like a month or so off of work. And I have heard, I had a friend who has had it done, and she said she took two months off of work. I took a week and a half off of work. I was up and walking around the next day. No, was I up and walking around that night? I believe I was up and around walking that night and for sure the next day, and after that I went to my sister’s house and she helped me recover and it was totally easy. I mean, I really, I knew that it was going to be sore; that’s just granted, but the pain was, there was really no, it was something that was just so minimal it was ridiculous.
