It is very likely that being ill with a fever is the reason your period is late. If you plan to repeat the pregnancy test, test in the morning. Use the urine when you first wake up. It is concentrated and will give the most accurate result.
I am glad you have a scheduled appointment. A blood pregnancy test is more accurate than the urine test.
