There is a highly increased chance of pregnancy if you go without hormones for seven or more days in a row. This could happen if you don’t start a new pack on time and/or forget to take the last one or two pills in the pack.
Did you have sex during the week you missed taking your birth control pills? If so, there is a chance you might be pregnant.
If your period doesn't start by the time you finish taking the inactive pills, call your gynecologist. You might want to take a home pregnancy test first.
