Guide (reply to Anonymous)

Hello Anonymous,

Was the unusually heavy period after you had intercourse?
Or was the very light and short period after you had intercourse?

I suggest you consult your physician, either gynecologist if you see one regularly, or primary care physician. Sharp abdominal pain upon getting up is out of the ordinary as is a very sore nipple. Both symptoms need to be evaluated with a physical exam.

Back to your periods. If the very light period followed intercourse, and if it was unprotected intercourse, I tend to suspect implantation bleeding versus a period.

This is something to mention when you speak with your doctor about the painful nipple and abdominal pain.

Keep us updated.
