Some women, and your girlfriend is one, will have changes in their menstrual cycle as a side effect of the pill. The next monthly period can start earlier or later than expected.
There is nothing to worry about.
But, you both should know that ECP is not intended to be used regularly. It is for emergency situations only. So, if both of you continue to be sexually active but are not ready to become parents, you must both use birth control, a condom for you and some type of birth control such as pill, IUD, patch or injection for her.
