Hi,
I read your story. You took Next Choice correctly. Emergency contraception contain a higher dose of hormones, which are found in birth control pills. Changes in your menstrual cycle are a side effect of the pill.
It may take a month or more to get back to a normal menstrual cycle, especially since you are so young. You need to start keeping track of when you get your periods. Get a calendar and mark the day your period starts. In several months time, you will see a pattern develop.
You are only 15 years old. I am speaking to you now, as a mother. I have 3 children and my youngest will be 16 years old in a few days. You are sexually active but are not using birth control, except for condoms. Using condoms is smart, but as you now know, they break. Pregnancy is consequence of being sexually active. If you feel that your are really ready to be sexually active, you need to seriously consider a more effective form of birth control.
