Hi nambrocato,
As a cancer survivor, I understand your fear of the cancer returning.
Good nutrition is very important. If you are scheduled for any other treatments such as radiation or chemotherapy, eating a balanced diet becomes a challenge.

Basic principles to eating a balanced diet :
drink plenty of water, at least 8 glasses daily
at least five servings of fruits or vegetables daily- include 100% fruit or vegetable juices
try small frequent meals and snacks if you have any problem tolerating the usual 3 large meals a day
get enough protein: eggs, poultry, beans, fish, lean meats are good
add whole grains to your diet: oatmeal for breakfast, peanut butter on whole grain bread for lunch or snack

One rule: if you are receiving treatment, this is not the time to diet, you need the calories to keep up your strength and rebuild healthy cells.

Here is an article that might help you. It's right here on EmpowHer

I suggest a book that helped me with meal and diet ideas during my battle with cancer( have had chemo, radiation, surgery, more radiation...)
"Eating Well Through Cancer" by Holly Clegg & Gerald Miletello, M.D.
Hang in there, have hope and keep on fighting. You are not alone and contact us again if we can help in any way.
