Guide

Hi cette,
To try to help you, I need to ask you a few questions. When you say that for the last 3 months, you have had occasional but a small amount of bleeding only when you use the toilet, do you notice spotting at any other time? on a sanitary pad (if you are wearing one)? or on your underwear? Are you experiencing this bleeding when you urinate or when you have a bowel movement? I ask this to determine if the bleeding is vaginal or rectal.
You could possibly be spotting before your menstrual flow actually begins, since you said this happens 2 to 3 days before the start of your period. .
I am not a physician and strongly suggest you see your doctor to determine what is causing the pre-period for 3 months now.
A new menstrual cycle begin with the first day of bleeding This counts as day 1. I think you would use the first day of your proper period and not the first day of slight spotting as day one of your menstrual cycle.
But, I am not a physician and I strongly suggest that you make an appointment with your doctor to have the spotting checked out. If you are trying to conceive, it is important to see your gynecologist to ensure a healthy pregnancy.
