As the NY Troop Organizer for the Army of Women and a new EmpowHER blogger AND one of the 1000 Women who told my story, I am thrilled to see there is a partnership between EmpowHER and Army of Women. Moving beyond a cure. Breast cancer is not a good cancer nor is it a way to get a "boob job." It's a disease that will kill almost 40,000 this year and impact the lives of millions of others: the newly diagnosed, the survivors who live with their own challenges, the family members of patients who become "at risk" previvors, and those living with metastatic disease. Research is the answer. I hope every woman who joins this site also joins the Army of Women. We need to change the status quo.
