In the attempt to lose 5 lbs in 2 days, you will only be losing water weight. But, this doesn't mean that you should drastically cut down on how much water you drink. You need to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. What you need to cut back on is salt. Salt retains water in your body. To lose weight- pounds, not water, you need to follow a simple formula- burn more calories than you consume. That means exercise to burn calories. To lose 1 to 2 lbs a week, you need to burn 500 to 1,000 calories more than you eat each day.
From your question, I'm guessing that 5 lbs is all that you want to lose.
For your good health, it is best to set realistic goals and lose weight gradually by eating right and exercising.
