What an eye opener! I was not aware of harmful BPA levels in paper receipts. I have unknowingly been adding paper receipts, torn in pieces of course, in with mixed paper to be recycled. Your suggestions for alternate options for many things we use everyday causes me to take pause and question-just how advanced and at what cost have we progressed since our grandparent's and great-grandparent's generation?
