Hi,
Thank you for your question and welcome to EmpowHer. Nothing can replace a physical examination with a healthcare professional to determine the cause of swollen lymph nodes in your neck. Are you having any other symptoms? Did the swelling appear suddenly and are you having any pain?
I can give you some information: lymph nodes are found throughout your body and are an important part of your immune system. Lymph nodes help your body recognize and fight germs, infections and other foreign substances. There is a chain of lymph nodes on either side of the front of the neck, both sides of the neck, and down each side of the back of the neck. The most common cause of swollen lymph nodes is infection.
When swelling appears suddenly and is painful, it is usually caused by injury or an infection.
Again, this information is not intended as a diagnosis. A diagnosis can only be made by a physician who has examined you.
