Those are all very good questions that you should ask the surgeon when you have your appointment on Friday. It is very likely that you will receive IV antibiotics postoperatively. The nursing staff will monitor your pain level and administer medication according to your physician's orders. During your pre-op assessment, the need and date for surgery will be addressed by your physician.
